Hello Some time ago I bought yellow oil 🍌 just to try. It waited patiently for the moment when it would be used. Here is a beautiful banana realization of Polmuz drums. Model 1 maple Keller. So yes, KELLER means that its shells are produced in the USA from American maple by the aforementioned manufacturer with whom we sometimes cooperate. Sizes are 20/12/14/16 Of course, thin 5mm shell Drums are waxed 2x, which gives them ultra-strong HI-SOLID finishing more durable than lacquer. Stainless steel mounting screws and double protection inside make them almost indestructible.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each percussion element after unpacking is subjected to meticulous inspection and checked with a keen, soldering eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and additionally are waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of sliding your hand along the edge before putting on a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. In case of detecting a defect or irregularity, the shell is made anew.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after successfully passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells were made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility in many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected layers of maple, as well as focusing on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

Beveling edges at 45° angle causes them to contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head contact with the shell. The consequence of such a solution is a clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing at the contact point in toms provides a quick attack and short decay, while rounded edges in snares generate unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and extraordinary sound. The lacquer used to finish Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique design of Tube Lug makes them look like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum, so to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each one has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality of materials used and breaks with the infamous reputation of the brand from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

A non-intrusive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made of aluminum provide reduced weight.

Snare butt straps

The straps on Polmuz snare drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, straps and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or click, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply struck heads of high quality are used in the drums.

The snare heads additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, a team from the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments, no different from the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
