The revived Polmuz snare drums bear no resemblance to their predecessors from the last century. Today Polmuz stands above all for bold design combined with proven and solid technologies, known from the products of the best brands.
The Polmuz Tulipwood snare shell TL-S1465-IBR gives complete freedom in shaping the sound, proving itself in every music genre. The minimalist, oldschool appearance of Polmuz drums echoes the brand's history and gives them a vintage character.
Breakthrough, unconventional designs, high quality craftsmanship, and convincing sound mean that today Polmuz tradition is being reborn!
Features
100% Tulipwood shells
The snare drums from the Tulipwood series are made from 6 layers of American tulipwood, with a total thickness of 6.9 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The specifics of tulipwood give the drums a distinctive sound you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and clean sound of the shells was achieved through carefully selected tulipwood layers, as well as attention to shell formation and edge shaping.
Edges
The 45° beveled edges ensure optimal contact with the head. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge in Polmuz snares generates quick attack, balanced resonance, and above all - a unique, slightly vintage sound.

Finish
The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Polmuz Tulipwood drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous matte, clear lacquer will please even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative inlay stripe has been applied around its entire circumference. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in top-tier kits from renowned brands.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug hardware is characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the drum shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drum slipping out of tune, each one features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives the impression of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz drum shells is a true statement of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.
Snare Mechanism
Polmuz snare drums are equipped with a smooth-operating snare strainer. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the sound depending on the situation.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced snare wires and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.
Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum kits and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who still remember their first Polmuz drums.
