NATAL is a British company with a long-standing tradition. Natal's origins date back to 1958 when renowned British drummer Alan Sharp couldn't find his sound and decided to assemble a set himself. These were fiberglass bongos. Alan's instrument proved to be of such high quality that it quickly gained recognition among musicians. Continuing forward, Sharp founded the NATALPERCUSSIONCOMPANY in 1965, which rapidly gained worldwide fame. Their flagship fiberglass instrument was used by artists such as Santana, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, and The Rolling Stones.
