A bit of history
NATAL is a British company with a long-standing tradition. Natal's origins go back to 1958 when renowned British drummer Alan Sharp couldn't find his signature sound and decided to build a kit himself. However, these were fiberglass bongos. Alan's instrument proved to be of such high quality that it quickly gained recognition among musicians. Following this success, Mr. Sharp founded NATAL PERCUSSION COMPANY in 1965, which very rapidly achieved worldwide fame. Top artists such as Santana, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, and The Rolling Stones used their flagship fiberglass congas. Of course, NATAL didn't stop at congas but quickly expanded into general percussion instruments. Their acoustic drum kits, snare drums, and hardware continue to enjoy widespread recognition and high quality to this day.
