A Piece of History

NATAL is a British company with a long-standing tradition. NATAL's origins date back to 1958 when renowned British drummer Alan Sharp couldn't find his desired sound and decided to build a kit himself – these were fiberglass congas. Alan's instrument turned out to be of such high quality that it quickly gained recognition among musicians. Building on this success, Sharp founded NATAL PERCUSSION COMPANY in 1965, which rapidly achieved worldwide acclaim. Their flagship fiberglass instruments were used by artists such as Santana, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, and The Rolling Stones. NATAL didn't stop at congas but quickly expanded into general percussion instruments. Their acoustic drum kits, snare drums, and hardware continue to be highly regarded and recognized for their quality to this day.
