Features
100% birch shells
The Birch series shells are made from 6 plies of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high frequencies ensure great versatility across many music styles. Full, focused tone and rich resonance from the shells are achieved through carefully selected birch plies, as well as meticulous shell forming and edge shaping.

Bearing Edges
The 45° bearing edge angle ensures optimal contact with the drumhead. Every edge on Polmuz drums is hand-sanded and waxed, providing perfect contact between head and shell. The result is clean, full-range tone. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver fast attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique warm vintage tone.
Finish
The lacquer used on Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The stunning, transparent black color will captivate even the most discerning tastes.

Hardware
On Polmuz Model 4 all hardware is finished in black. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass with chrome plating, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting System

Quality and Professionalism
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no compromise or defect in the drum set. Each percussion element undergoes careful inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a discerning, professional eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and satisfaction during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive a sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. Should any defect or irregularity be found, the shell is manufactured anew.
About the Polmuz Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
