QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no defects or irregularities in the set. Each percussion element after unpacking is subjected to careful inspection and checked with a discerning, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all drum shell edges must be perfectly even and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the ideal shell resonance. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after successfully passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell shaping and edge profile.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures they meet the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been ground and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp finished edges on tom bearing edges provide quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drum bearing generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and unconventional tone. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each contains a long bolt that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has dual protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives the impression of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and business card of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and rims form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply struck heads of high quality are used on the drums.

The heads on the bass drum additionally feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head featuring a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 90s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is high-quality percussion sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storming not only the Polish percussion market, but also winning the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
