POLMUZ Model 1 MAPLE is produced with the utmost care in our workshop in Gdynia. Due to hand-finishing and high customer interest, the order fulfillment time is 1-3 months.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the highest series from leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, which means there can be no compromise or irregularities in the set. Every percussion element is carefully inspected after unpacking and checked with a meticulous, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to provide an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of drum tuning and perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is made anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility in many musical styles. Full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45-degree edge bevel means they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head contact with the shell. The consequence of this solution is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms produces quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional tone. The lacquer used to finish the Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chromated hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chromated, the Polmuz inscription is a guarantee and also a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum provide reduced weight.

Bass drum claws

The claws on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the claws and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

High-quality transparent, single-ply struck heads are used in the drums.

The bass drum heads additionally have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at ul. Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion store DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instrument manufacturer that in no way falls short of the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has meant that Polmuz is rapidly conquering not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
