Warranty

Polmuz drums are handmade by us, and we stand behind them long after they reach you. Below are the terms on which we provide the warranty.

How long the warranty lasts

  • Polmuz drum and snare shells (Model 1-4) - lifetime warranty, for the first owner. This applies to wooden plywood shells as well as metal ones: brass, aluminum, and copper. If the shell delaminates, comes apart, warps, or loses its round shape, we'll replace it with a new one.
  • Hardware - 36 months. Lugs, hoops, snare throw-off, tension rods, legs, mounts, brackets, and stands.
  • Acrylic shells - 24 months. Acrylic behaves differently than wood and is more sensitive to impacts and temperature changes.
  • Polmuz cymbals - 24 or 12 months, depending on the type. Details below.
  • Cajons and headphones - 24 months on all parts.
  • Other brands' gear - under the manufacturer's warranty terms, listed with the product.
  • Consumables - heads, springs, sticks, and felts wear out during use and are not covered by warranty.

Warranty on Polmuz cymbals

Don't stress if your cymbal cracks. You don't need to send it back right away - just send us a photo of the damage. Keep playing on the cracked cymbal until the replacement is ready. Only then do we swap one for the other.

  • Ride, hi-hat - 24 months.
  • Crash, swish, china - 12 months.
  • Splash - no warranty, these are the thinnest cymbals in the lineup.

25% post-warranty discount

If, after the warranty period expires, but no later than 36 months from purchase, a crack appears on the cymbal that would have qualified for a warranty replacement, we'll give you a 25% discount on a new Polmuz cymbal. You'll need proof of purchase along with the warranty card. The discount is calculated from the retail price and cannot be combined with promotions or sales.

What's covered

Material and manufacturing defects caused by us - plywood delamination, shell cracking without external force, faulty bearing edge work, or a casting or thread defect in the hardware.

What's not covered

  • mechanical damage: impacts, drops, transport without a bag or case,
  • the effects of flooding, moisture, and storage in extreme temperatures,
  • unauthorized modifications: drilling additional holes, swapping hardware, painting or sanding the shell,
  • natural wear: scratches on the finish, dulling chrome, stick marks on hoops,
  • instruments used improperly or in commercial rental conditions without prior agreement with us.

How to file a claim

Write to us - describe the problem and attach photos of the instrument and the location of the fault. Provide the serial number from the label glued inside the drum, along with proof of purchase. We'll determine whether sending replacement parts is enough, or whether the instrument needs to come back to the workshop. Repairs are carried out at our workshop in Gdynia. If the fault can't be fixed, we'll build the shell from scratch.

Good to know

  • The basis for the warranty is the label with the serial number and the signature of the person who inspected the shell, found in every Polmuz drum, along with proof of purchase.
  • The lifetime warranty applies to the first owner and doesn't transfer to subsequent owners - upon resale, the instrument retains the hardware warranty until the end of 36 months from the date of purchase.
  • The warranty is an additional commitment and does not exclude or limit rights under statutory warranty or consumer rights arising from applicable laws.
