QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the kit. Each drum component is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a discerning, luthier's eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning and the ideal tone of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual kit components receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

Features

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole drum to resonate across its full tonal range. To minimize the risk of drum tuning instability, each features a long screw that sits deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives the impression of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Construction

The 6 mm shell thickness provides clear attack and stunning appearance, making the Polmuz Acrylic drums ideal for live performance. The seamless shell construction guarantees excellent resonance while maintaining very high durability. The 2 mm hoops are an excellent balance of tuning stability and tone that surprises with its openness.

About the brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and the brand then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum kits and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
