QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the kit. Each percussion element upon unpacking is subjected to careful inspection and checked with a keen, soldering eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all drum shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed for an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual kit elements receive an individual sticker with serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

100% walnut shells

The snare drums from the Walnut series are made of 7 layers of walnut with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. Full, low-end tone while maintaining focused and clear shell sound was achieved through carefully selected walnut layers and attention to shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

A 45° bevel on the edges allows them to contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz brand drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge on Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and most importantly - unique, slightly vintage tone.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer applied to the Walnut Polmuz finish is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, transparent red lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been created around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top-tier kits from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire assembly to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums detuning, each contains a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has dual protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

About the brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion store DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz offers high-quality percussion kits and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competitor products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
