The drums of the revived Polmuz brand bear no resemblance to their predecessors from the last century. Today Polmuz means bold design combined with proven, solid technology known from the products of the best brands.

This particular kit has a genuinely unique design: transparent acrylic shells paired with gold hardware, lugs arranged in an alternating (cross lug) pattern and a red glitter hoop on the bass drum. A combination you will not find in any mass-market catalogue.

QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

Like the top series of the leading manufacturers, every Polmuz is treated individually. Each part of the kit is carefully inspected with a luthier's eye after unpacking. All shell edges must be perfectly even and smooth, and are additionally waxed for an even richer feel of professionalism and comfort. A perfectly smooth edge means easy tuning and ideal shell resonance. The complete hardware is checked as well – there is nothing more satisfying than screws turning softly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such quality control every part of the kit receives an individual sticker with a serial number, a date and a handwritten signature.

Features

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are a signature of every Polmuz drum. Their unique construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the body of the lug “floats” above the shell so that contact with the drum is minimised. This lets the whole shell resonate across the full range. Every drum has a long screw seated deep in the lug plus a double safeguard of metal and nylon washers that keep the tuning stable.

Gold hardware and cross lugs

On this kit all hardware is finished in a gold coating, and the lugs are arranged alternately (cross lugs) – a solution known from expensive custom series that looks exceptional on transparent acrylic. The cast Polmuz badge on the shell is a true declaration of quality and style.

Red glitter hoop

The front of the bass drum is finished with a red glitter hoop that produces an effect impossible to fake under stage lights. This is also where the small lacquer chip behind the reduced price is located.

Construction

The 6 mm shell delivers a clear attack and a stunning look, making the Polmuz Acrylic perfect for live performance. The seamless shell construction guarantees great resonance while staying extremely durable. 2 mm hoops are the ideal balance between tuning stability and a sound that surprises with its openness.

About the brand

Polmuz – the legendary maker of the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with its works at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. The last drums were built in the late 1990s, after which the brand disappeared from the market. In 2018 the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand, buying the full rights to its name. Today Polmuz means high-quality drum kits that give nothing away to the best of the competition.
