Hey, it's Tomek. This Friday I made the best snare drum so far 🥁 of course every next one is the best, but this one is exceptional. I developed a special drilling method with precision to 0.5mm, which made precise hole drilling a relaxing activity instead of a stressful one 😄. With great excitement I was installing the lugs, machinery and logo, waiting for the sound result. This snare drum has a very large spring bed, plus very large reinforcing rings serving as a focus ring. What does this give? The snare drum has virtually no unnecessary overtones. No need to dampen it, place a gel or wallet that someone will steal at a concert 😄. At the same time it's very responsive. Sound-wise, a total firecracker. The strainer is a true armored monster, runs smoothly. Springs don't bounce on bongo.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each percussion element upon unpacking is subjected to meticulous inspection and checked with a keen, soldering eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all edges of the shells must be perfectly straight and smooth and additionally are waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand over the edge before putting on a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smooth-turning screws in perfectly fitting lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

Heads and Springs

The drums feature coated, 1-ply strike heads of high quality. The springs used in Polmuz snare drums are proven components with 30 coils that work perfectly with almost any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare drum generates a characteristic sound, free of unnecessary overtones.

About the Brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced whistles and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments manufacturer, in no way inferior to the best competing products.
