Hey, it's Tomek here. This Friday I made the best snare drum yet 🥁 of course each new one is the best, but this one is exceptional. I've developed a special drilling method with precision down to 0.5mm, making precise hole drilling a relaxing activity instead of a stressful one 🎯 With great excitement I was installing the lugs, machine, and logo while anticipating the sound result. This snare has a very large spring bed, plus very large flanges serving as a focus ring. What does this give? The snare has virtually no unnecessary overtones. No need to dampen, place a gel pad or a wallet that someone might steal at a concert 😄. Yet it's very responsive - sonically a total firecracker. The machine is a true armored beast, runs smoothly. Springs don't bounce off the bongo.

Each percussion element is meticulously inspected upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive an individual label with serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

Heads and Springs

The drums feature coated, 1-ply strike heads of high quality. The springs used in Polmuz snare drums are proven components with 30 coils that work perfectly with virtually any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates a characteristic sound, free from unnecessary overtones.

About the Brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factory was located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments, in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
