QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Every drum component is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, professional eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product—all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is inspected because nothing is more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after passing testing successfully, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells is achieved through carefully selected birch layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45-degree angle cut on the edges means they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges provides quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique, warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish the Maple series Polmuz drums is the highest quality.

Tube Lugs

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" over the drum, so as to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—that guarantee tuning stability.

Chromeplated hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz set bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

High-quality, transparent, single-ply struck heads are used in the drums.

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competitors' products. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz take the Polish percussion market by storm, as well as the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
