FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Birch series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and treble ensure great versatility in many music styles. Full, focused tone and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as attention to shell formation and bearing edge shape.

Bearing Edges

The 45° angle cut of the bearing edges allows them to make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each bearing edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finish on toms delivers quick attack and short decay, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drums generates unique warm vintage tone.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
