FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Birch series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. Full, focused tone and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. This results in clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges produces fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique warm vintage tone.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
