FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Birch series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. Full, focused tone and resonance richness of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as attention to shell formation and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° beveled edges allow them to meet the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums is sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head contact with the shell. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing at the contact point on toms produces a quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage tone.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments brand that is in no way inferior to the best competitor products. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
