The drums of the revived Polmuz brand bear no resemblance to their prototypes from the last century. Today, Polmuz is primarily bold design combined with proven and solid technologies, known from the products of the best brands.

The birch shells of this set give complete freedom in shaping the sound, proving themselves in every music genre. The minimalist, old-school appearance of Polmuz drums references the brand's history and gives a vintage character.

FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Birch series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, focused tone and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° beveled edges ensure they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is a clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finish on tom drums provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The characteristics of birch wood give these drums a distinctive sound you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and clean tone of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape. Clear treble and pleasant low bass. The drums feature balanced frequency response, so in studio or live situations they require minimal adjustment at the mixing console.

Finish

The lacquered finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Polmuz birch drums is of excellent quality. The stunning coffee fade color will please even the most discerning tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in the high-end series of renowned brands.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums features a chrome finish. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the excellent build quality of each drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. This construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort.

Bass drum lugs

The lugs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber gaskets that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

High-quality single-ply batter heads are used on the drums under the Remo brand

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic black head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion store DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are on par with the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
