Once upon a time, far, far away beyond seven mountains and forests, there lived a man named Tomek. Tomek dreamed of being able to buy professional drums with hardware for 4 thousand zloty. Tomek wondered why top drum manufacturers didn't offer professional attributes on drums in this price range, because that's what he wanted to sell. Instead of waiting for salvation, he thought: hmm, I guess I have to do this myself. Quite by chance, Tomek is a production technologist and architect, so he knew how to tackle it. The design work took a long time, prototype after prototype. But what's the use...

FEATURES

100% Birch Shells

The shells of the Birch series are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 6.9 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and treble tones ensure great versatility in many musical styles. Full, focused sound and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as focus on shell forming and bearing edge shape.

Bearing Edges

The 45-degree bearing edge cut means they contact the head at an optimal point. Each bearing edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on tom shells produce fast attack and short sustain, while rounded bearing edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Polmuz birch drums is of excellent quality. The gorgeous blue color fading to black will delight even the most demanding tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in the higher series of renowned brands.

Chrome Hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true statement of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and hallmark of the excellent level of craftsmanship on every drum.

Mounting System

Non-invasive shell mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. This design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort.

Bass Drum Lugs

The lugs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature pure 1-ply high-quality coated heads under the Remo brand

Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. Resonant heads feature a characteristic black head with distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competitors' products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
