FEATURES

100% birch shells

The Birch series shells are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. Full, focused tone and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected birch layers, as well as attention to shell shaping and edge contour.

Edges

Beveling the edges at a 45° angle ensures they meet the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish on tom bearing edges provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Hardware

In Polmuz Model 4 drums all hardware is finished in black. The beautiful look gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks away from the brand's troubled reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting System

Model 4 is equipped with a solid, double tom holder with multiple tom positioning options.

Heads

Transparent, single-ply batter heads of high quality are used on the drums.

Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factory was located at ul. Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that match the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
