FEATURES

100% birch shells

The shells of the Birch series are made from 6 layers of birch with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. Full, focused sound and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected birch layers, as well as a focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° beveled edges make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing at the bearing edges in toms produces a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge in bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Hardware

In Polmuz Model 4 drums, all hardware is finished in black. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast Polmuz logo on the shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chrome-plated Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting System

Model 4 is equipped with a solid, double tom holder with multiple tom positioning adjustment options.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competitor products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
