QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum element is subjected to meticulous inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, experienced eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ceremony of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is discovered, the shell is rebuilt.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as careful attention to shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° bearing edge creates optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms produce a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on the snare generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on the Maple Polmuz series is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug-style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one features a long screw that sits deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the disreputable reputation of the brand from years ago. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and showcase of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting system

The non-intrusive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight.

Snare wires

The snare wires on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the wires and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Clear, single-ply, high-quality batter heads are used on the drums.

Snare heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instrument brand, in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storming not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
