QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no compromise on any defect or irregularity in the kit. Every percussion element is subject to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of drum tuning and the perfect sound of the shell. All drum hardware is also inspected because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the kit receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after successfully passing testing, receives a lifetime warranty and hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. Sound was the highest priority in designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and treble frequencies provide great versatility in many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple ply layers and focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The bearing edge cut at a 45° angle ensures they contact the head at the optimal point. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms provide quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug uses a long bolt that sits deep within it. Additionally, each features double security with washers - both metal and nylon - ensuring tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's disreputable reputation of years past. The cast logo on Polmuz drum shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made of aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum lugs

The lugs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form one unified whole, so they don't separate or rattle even with loose tuning.

Heads

High-quality transparent, 1-ply batter heads are used on the drums.

The resonant heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing all rights to its name.

Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
