Hey, some time ago I bought yellow wax ???? just to try it out. It waited patiently for the moment when it would be used. Here is the beautiful banana realization of Polmuz drums. model 1 maple Keller. So yes, KELLER means that its shells are produced in the USA from American maple by said manufacturer with whom we occasionally cooperate. The sizes are 20/12/14/16 Of course, thin 5mm shells. The drums are waxed twice, giving them ultra-strong HI-SOLID finish that is more durable than lacquer. Stainless steel mounting screws and double reinforcement inside make them nearly indestructible.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each percussion element upon unpacking is subjected to careful inspection and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive to establish Polmuz in the minds of drummers as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and additionally are waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before putting on a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws that turn smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive individual stickers with serial numbers, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. In case of any defect or irregularity, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mids and highs provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through carefully selected layers of maple, as well as focus on shell shaping and edge profile.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between the head and shell. The result is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finishing on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for the finish on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each one features a long screw that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double reinforcement in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true statement of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chrome Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.

Bass drum lugs

The lugs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive whole, so they don't separate or rattle even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality heads are used on the drums.

The bottom heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by characteristic vintage-style heads with clear Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then disappeared completely from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
