QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Every element of the drum kit is subjected to careful inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all shell edges must be perfectly even and smooth and are additionally waxed to provide an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before applying a new head—not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell resonance. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the shell. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° angle cut on the edges allows them to contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp finish on the bearing edge of toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on the bass drum generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The beautiful champagne gold sparkle color will delight even the most demanding tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in top-tier sets of recognized brands. The Champagne Gold Sparkle color is inspired by the iconic color of Fender guitars.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire system to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each contains a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and rims form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature coated/clear, single-ply heads struck by high-quality Polmuz.

The batter heads additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
