QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the top series from leading manufacturers, Polmuz drums are treated individually—there can be no compromises or irregularities in any set. Each drum component is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, professional eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product. All shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to deliver an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and satisfaction during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads—not to mention the ease of tuning and the perfect resonance of the shell. Furthermore, all drum hardware is inspected, as nothing is more pleasant than smoothly fitting screws into perfectly matched lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom label with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. Should any defect or irregularity be discovered, the shell is rebuilt from scratch.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing quality testing, receives a lifetime warranty, while the hardware used in Polmuz drums carries a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are crafted from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high frequencies deliver great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple plies and meticulous attention to shell formation and edge profile.

Edges

The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been precisely sanded and additionally waxed, guaranteeing ideal head-to-shell contact. This results in a crisp tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms produce fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on the bass drum generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a distinctive look and unique sonic character. The lacquer applied to Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality. The beautiful champagne gold sparkle finish will captivate even the most discerning tastes. Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design looks like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum, minimizing contact with the drum shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of frequencies. To minimize tuning drift, each lug houses a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each features dual protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums features a chrome-plated finish. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of the highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's checkered past. Mounting system

Bass drum lugs

The lugs on Polmuz drum kits are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this design, the lugs and hoops form a cohesive unit, preventing separation or rattling, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums are equipped with coated/clear, single-ply heads struck with high-quality Polmuz branding.

The resonant heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads stand out with their characteristic vintage-style head and distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz is a legendary brand that produced Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with its facilities located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz manufactured percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring the full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz represents high-quality drum kits and ethnic instruments, in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have enabled Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
