QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each element of the drum kit is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before putting on a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured again.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° bevel of the edges means they come into contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between the head and the shell. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish at contact points on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The stunning green fade color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The composition and method of applying the lacquer corresponds to those used in top sets of recognized brands. Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole set to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that is seated deep into the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chromium-plated hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and also a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting system

Bass drum lugs

The lugs in Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this setup, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums use coated/clear, single-ply heads struck with high-quality Polmuz.

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced whistles and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instruments manufacturer, no different from the best competitors' products. Bold design combined with proven solutions caused Polmuz to storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
