Features

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° bevel of the edges means they come into contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between the head and the shell. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish at contact points on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The stunning green fade color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The composition and method of applying the lacquer corresponds to those used in top sets of recognized brands. The Shell Pink color is inspired by the iconic color of Fender guitars.Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole set to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that is seated deep into the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chromium-plated hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and also a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum provide lighter weight.

Bass drum lugs

The lugs in Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this setup, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums have clear, single-ply batter heads, Polmuz branded or Remo Encore.

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
