QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unboxing and checked with a careful, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product. All shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head—not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is inspected, because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing in bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive their own sticker with serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the quality test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums comes with a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges ensures they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp finished edges on tom contact points produce quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, pink color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top sets from renowned brands. The color is inspired by the iconic color of Fender guitars.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug mounting hardware is characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each one has a long bolt that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz inscription is a guarantee and also a mark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

Bass drum claws

The claws on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this setup, the claws and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even at loose tunings.

Heads

The drums are equipped with coated/clear, 1-ply heads struck with high-quality Polmuz.

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. Meanwhile, resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with its facilities located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have allowed Polmuz to take the Polish drum market by storm and win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
