Features
100% maple shells
The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 6 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mids and highs ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges
The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.
Finish
The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used for finishing Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous pink color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method correspond to those used in top-tier sets from recognized brands. The Shell Pink color is inspired by the iconic Fender guitar colorTube Lug
Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each lug features a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of washers – metal and nylon – which guarantee tuning stability.
Chrome-plated hardware
All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Mounting system
The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design allows toms to be positioned closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.
Bass drum claws
The claws in Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, claws and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even when tuned loose.
Heads
The drums feature coated/clear, single-ply heads struck with high-quality Polmuz.
The bass drum heads additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
DRUM SIZES:

Quality and Professionalism
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no compromise or defect in the drum set. Each percussion element undergoes careful inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a discerning, professional eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and satisfaction during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive a sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. Should any defect or irregularity be found, the shell is manufactured anew.
About the Polmuz Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
