QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the highest series of leading manufacturers, Polmuz drums are treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum component is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads - not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a unique sticker with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty, while the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° angle cut on the edges allows them to contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp-finished edges on tom contact points provide quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on the bass drum generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish the Maple series drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality. The gorgeous pink color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top sets from recognized brands. The Shell Pink color is inspired by the iconic Fender guitar color.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that seats deeply into the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of two washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.

Bass drum hooks

The hooks in Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums use coated, single-ply striking heads of high quality.

The resonant heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion sticks and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have caused Polmuz to storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
