FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Bearing Edges

The 45° beveled edges ensure they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal head contact with the shell. The consequence of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms delivers quick attack and short decay, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

Polmuz drums feature a lacquered finish that gives each set a unique appearance and exceptional sound. The lacquer used on the Maple series finish is of the highest quality. The stunning blue color with white stripes will appeal to even the most discerning tastes. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top sets from recognized brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire structure to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome Hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass, the chrome Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting System

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass Drum Spurs

The spurs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and rims form one cohesive whole, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature coated, single-ply strike heads of high quality under the Polmuz brand.

Bass drum heads additionally have a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competitor products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
