Quality and Professionalism
Like the highest series from leading manufacturers, Polmuz drums are treated individually, which means there can be no compromise or defects in the set. Every percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection and checked with a keen eye upon unboxing. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product – all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before mounting new heads – not to mention the ease of tuning and the perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is inspected because nothing is more pleasant than smoothly turning screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive an individual sticker with serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming high drum quality. If any defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

Features
100% maple shells
The Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and treble tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges
A 45° bearing edge means the shell makes contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.
Finish
Polmuz drums feature a matte finish that gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The stunning pink color will impress even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method match those used in top sets from recognized brands. The Shell Pink color is inspired by the iconic Fender guitar color.

Tube Lug
Tube Lug mounts are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize tuning issues, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection with metal and nylon washers, which guarantee tuning stability.
Chrome hardware
All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's poor reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.
Mounting system
A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.
Bass drum spurs
The spurs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.
Heads
High-quality coated, 1-ply batter heads are used on the drums.
The resonant heads also feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads stand out with their characteristic vintage-style head with distinctive Polmuz logo.

About the Polmuz Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
