QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no compromise in quality or irregularities in the set. Every drum element undergoes meticulous inspection upon unpacking and is checked with careful, expert attention. We strive to establish Polmuz in the consciousness as a premium product – all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head – not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is inspected because there is nothing more pleasant than screws that turn smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive an individual sticker with serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° beveled edges make contact with the head at the optimal point. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish on tom bearing edges creates quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates a unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on the Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The beautiful brown satin color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method matches those used in top-tier sets from recognized brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each lug has dual safety features in the form of washers – metal and nylon – which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives the impression of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate past reputation. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight.

Bass drum lugs

The lugs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums are equipped with coated, 1-ply high-quality batter heads.

The resonant heads also feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialized drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
