QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the highest series from leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Every element of the drum kit is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product—all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked, as there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive a special sticker with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test positively, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums comes with a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide excellent versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as meticulous attention to shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45-degree bevel on the edges ensures they meet the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. This results in clean, full-range sound. Sharp bearing edges on toms provide a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates a unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The exquisite color will delight even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method correspond to those used in top-tier kits from renowned brands. The color is inspired by the iconic guitar colors of Fender.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire kit to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each features a long bolt that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has dual security in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. Mounting system

Bass drum hooks

The hooks on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature coated, single-ply strike heads of high quality.

Resonant heads on bass drums additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialty drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz represents high-quality drum kits and ethnic instruments that are second to none compared to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
