100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms delivers fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous gold color in the sparkle version will delight even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method match those used in top sets from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug hardware is characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design looks like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sound. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double security with both metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

Polmuz drums feature all hardware finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks away from the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true statement of quality and style. Mounting system

The shell-friendly mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum components reduce overall weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this configuration, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit, preventing them from separating or rattling, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Polmuz drums feature coated, single-ply high-quality batter heads bearing the Polmuz branding.

Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide damping ring. Resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand manufacturing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team at DrumStore, a specialist drum shop from Gdynia, decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that match the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
