QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no defects or irregularities in the set. Each percussion element is subjected to careful inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, experienced eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product – all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect resonance of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitting lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components receive a sticker with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

Features
100% Maple Bodies
The snare drum shells from the Maple series are made from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midtones and high frequencies ensure great versatility across many music styles. The specific character of the wood gives the drums a distinctive sound you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and pure sound of the shells was achieved through carefully selected maple plies and attention to shell formation and edge shape.
Edges
The 45-degree edge bevel ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge on Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and most importantly – a unique, slightly vintage tone.

Finish
The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, matte, clear lacquer will delight even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using an inlay method. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in top-tier sets from renowned brands.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound spectrum. To minimize the risk of tuning instability, each lug features a long bolt that seats deep within it. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.
Chrome Hardware
In Polmuz drums, all hardware features a chrome finish. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Crafted from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.
Snare Mechanism
Polmuz snares are equipped with a smoothly functioning snare mechanism. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the tone depending on the situation.
Heads and Springs
The drums feature coated, 1-ply batter heads of high quality under the Polmuz brand. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work excellently with virtually any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates a characteristic tone free of unwanted overtones. The distinctive red spring stripe is enhanced with a traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand
Polmuz – a legendary brand that produced Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with facilities located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also manufactured percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, a team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today Polmuz represents high-quality percussion sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competition products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
