QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each percussion element is subject to careful inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge unleashes joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. In addition, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after successfully passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility in many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° beveled edges ensure they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing at the contact point on tom-toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drum generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire system to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each one has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chromed hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance provides a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's poor reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design facilitates positioning toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. In addition, parts made of aluminum ensure reduced weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, single-ply high-quality struck heads are used in the drums.

The heads on the bass drum additionally have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
