QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Every element of the drum kit is subjected to careful inspection after unpacking and checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell resonance. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is made anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. Full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° edge cut ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges provides fast attack and short decay, while a rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for Maple Polmuz drum finishing is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has dual security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and also a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs in Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature clear, 1-ply struck heads of high quality.

The batter heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. In contrast, the resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska 75/77 street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, a team from the specialized percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instruments, no different from the best competitive products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
