QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the kit. Each drum component is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with an expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual kit components receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is discovered, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges means they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms produces a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drums generates a unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design looks like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug features a long bolt that seats deep in the lug. Additionally, each is secured with double protection consisting of metal and nylon washers, which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship on each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum provide reduced weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz kits are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit, preventing them from separating or clicking, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums feature transparent, 1-ply strike heads of high quality.

The bass drum heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialty percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum kits and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly capture not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
