QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum element is subjected to careful inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, trained eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the ideal sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly-screwing bolts into perfectly-fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

A 45° bevel on the edges means they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clear, full-range sound. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges provides quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and unconventional sound. The lacquer used on the Maple series drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug hardware is characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one uses a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - that guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

On Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. Beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's infamous reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and business card of the highest level of craftsmanship on each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.

Bass drum hooks

The hooks on Polmuz set bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums use transparent, single-ply high-quality struck heads.

Center heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a line of high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
