QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no defects or irregularities in the set. Every drum component undergoes meticulous inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a keen, experienced eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product, with all shell edges perfectly straight and smooth, and additionally waxed to deliver an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the shell's perfect sound. All drum hardware is also checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly turning screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a unique sticker with serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple layers and focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

A 45° edge cut ensures that the edges contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finish on tom shells produces fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double protection with metal and nylon washers, which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks from the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and business card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A shell-friendly mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Moreover, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum hooks

The hooks on Polmuz set bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this setup, the hooks and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality batter heads are used on the drums.

The heads on bass drums additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instruments manufacturer, in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
