QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each element of the drum kit is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell resonance. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is discovered, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in the design of Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies, as well as a focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been ground and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clear, full-frequency sound. Sharp bearing edges on tom shells provide quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire set to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual safety features in the form of both metal and nylon washers, which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's former bad reputation. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz inscription is a guarantee and business card of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made of aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or click, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, single-ply high-quality batter heads are used in the drums.

The resonant heads also feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz produced wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instruments, in no way inferior to the best competitors' products. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz storm not only the Polish drum market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
