POLMUZ Model 1 MAPLE is produced with the utmost care in our workshop in Gdynia. Due to manual finishing and high customer demand, delivery time is 1-3 months.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the highest series from leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum element is subjected to meticulous inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual set elements receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. If any defect or irregularity is found, the shell is re-manufactured.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums carries a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies and focus on shell formation and edge profile.

Edges

The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique, warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of detuning, each features a long screw that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has dual protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, ensuring tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum components ensure reduced weight.

Bass drum hooks

The hooks on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, single-ply, high-quality heads are used on the drums.

Resonant heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s with facilities located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion effects and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments in no way inferior to the best competition products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
