POLMUZ Model 1 MAPLE is produced with the highest care in our workshop in Gdynia. Due to hand-finishing and high customer demand, the production time is 1-3 months.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the top series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum component is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head - not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than smooth-turning screws fitting perfectly into well-designed lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom sticker with serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums comes with a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones ensure great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the careful selection of maple layers and focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° edge cut ensures optimal contact with the drum head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drum generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has double security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design allows toms to be positioned closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Drum heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality batter heads are used on these drums.

Resonant heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with factories located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that rival the best products from the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
