QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Every element of the drum kit is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, craftsman's eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell tone. In addition, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws that turn smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after passing testing, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The bearing edge cut at a 45° angle ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms provide quick attack and short decay, while rounded bearing edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and unconventional tone. The lacquer used for finishing Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional fittings, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one features a long screw that seats deeply into the lug. Additionally, each is equipped with double security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - that guarantee tuning stability.

Chromed hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance provides a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight.

Bass drum claws

The claws in Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, claws and hoops form one coherent whole, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tunings.

Heads

Transparent, single-ply high-quality heads are used on the drums.

The heads on bass drums additionally feature a wide damping collar. In contrast, resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand manufacturing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and the brand then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum store DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz manufactures high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that match the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
