Drum kit for the Polish Armed Forces team. A white and red Model 1 kit with an eagle on the bass drum head, built in our workshop in Gdynia for the Polish Armed Forces team. Maple shells, 2 × 45° bearing edges and Model 1 hardware.

Features

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made of 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the top priority in designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mids and highs provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells come from carefully selected maple plies, as well as close attention to shell forming and the shape of the bearing edges.

Bearing edges

Cutting the edges at a 45° angle means they meet the head at the optimal point. Every edge on Polmuz drums is sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between head and shell. The result is a clean sound across the full frequency range. All drums, the bass drums included, have ultra-sharp edges, which gives a fast, clear attack.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives every kit a unique look and an unconventional sound. The lacquer used to finish the Maple drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional lugs, but the lug body “floats” above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This lets the whole drum resonate across the full range of sound. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each of them has a long tension rod that sits deep in the lug. In addition, each rod has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

On Polmuz drums all the hardware has a chrome-plated finish. The beautiful look conveys the highest quality of the materials used and breaks with the brand's inglorious reputation of years ago. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true statement of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chrome-plated Polmuz lettering is both a guarantee and a calling card of the highest level of workmanship of every drum.

Mounting system

The mounting system, which does not interfere with the shells, ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. Its streamlined design makes it easier to position the toms closer together, giving you more freedom and comfort. In addition, parts made of aluminum keep the weight down.

Bass drum claws

The claws on the bass drums of Polmuz kits are fitted with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the claws and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they do not come apart or rattle, even with loose tunings.

Heads

The drums are fitted with clear, 1-ply batter heads of high quality.

The bass drum heads additionally have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads, in turn, stand out with a characteristic vintage look and a prominent Polmuz logo.
