QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each element of the drums is subjected to careful inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is discovered, the shell is made anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility in many musical styles. Full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as a focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° angle edge bevel ensures they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is clear sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms produces a quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounting brackets, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across its full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each contains a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has dual security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chrome Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum hooks

The hooks on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even when tuned loosely.

Heads

Transparent, high-quality 1-ply struck heads are used in the drums.

The heads on bass drums additionally have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a clear Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion store DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
