QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Every element of the drum kit is subjected to careful inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, lutheier's eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before putting on a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitting lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finish on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish the Maple series drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome-plated coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz name is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, high-quality 1-ply struck heads are used on the drums.

The batter heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team at the specialized drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing all rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products on the market. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
