Polmuz Drums Model 1 Maple Satin Jatoba fade BD24x16/TT12/TT14/FT16/SD14x8 Hello! Drums fresh from the workshop table, visible by the way in the photos. What makes them stand out? Definitely the decoration of the snare hoops with arrow inlay. The hoops are contrasted in natural color. The 14x8 snare features a maple shell reinforced with Reinforcement Rings. Additional cast hoops give it mega snap. The drums are equipped with stainless steel mounting bolts. Furthermore, double oiling and waxing has been applied, making it mega resistant to weather conditions and room moisture.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any damage or irregularity in the set. Every element of the drums is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and additionally are waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ceremony of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because nothing is more pleasant than smoothly turning screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

100% maple shells

The shells in the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility in many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected layers of maple, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges means they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp finishing of the bearing edge on tom-toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on snare drums generates unique and warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounting brackets, but the lug shell "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long bolt that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each one has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome Hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the unfortunate reputation the brand had years ago. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and also a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.

Mounting System

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Snare Lugs

The lugs on Polmuz snare drums are equipped with rubber washers that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the lugs and hoops form a single, cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality struck heads are used on the drums.

The snare drum heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads, on the other hand, are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced snare wires and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 90s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments, in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
