POLMUZ Model 1 MAPLE is produced with the utmost care in our workshop in Gdynia. Due to hand-finished details and high customer demand, the order delivery time is 1-3 months.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Every drum component undergoes careful inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product – all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect resonance of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because nothing is more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defects or irregularities are found, the shell is rebuilt from scratch.

WARRANTY

Every Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty, and hardware used in Polmuz drums carries a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority in designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells is achieved through carefully selected maple plies and meticulous attention to shell formation and edge shaping.

Edges

The 45° edge bevel ensures optimal contact with the drumhead. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp finished bearing edges on toms produce a quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drum generate unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound spectrum. To minimize tuning drift, each contains a long screw that seats deeply into the lug. Additionally, each features double security with metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Bass drum claws

The claws in Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, claws and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tunings.

Drumheads

Transparent, 1-ply struck drumheads of high quality are used on the drums.

Resonant heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. Resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, with facilities located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialty percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revitalize the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to the name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
